Janus, the god of beginnings, both material and immaterial.
From the Latin Janus (Ianus) god of passage (which is originally accomplished through a door, in Latin ianua); in particular, he is the god of the beginnings of a human or natural activity.
The jewel, handmade in 925 silver, has as a pendant a plaque with the two faces of Janus. One of the oldest and most important deities of the Roman, Latin and Italic religion.
Usually depicted with two faces (the so-called Bifrons Janus), since the god can look at the future and the past (but not the present).
Chain length 50 cm.
